What’s Fresh and Local in July

With a variety of fruit perfect for the kids’ lunchbox and some nutritious veggies for nourishing winter meals, it’s a great time to celebrate the Busselton winter.

Manjimup organic Potatoes are a great pick this week, you couldn’t get them fresher, unwashed and full of essential nutrients including potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, dietary fibre and magnesium. Potatoes are among the best sources of potassium and fibre – 2 nutrients that are often under-consumed by all.

Harvey Mandarins are in peak season and are delicious and easy lunchbox treats or for dessert with creamy Margaret River yoghurt. Apple varieties are in peak season and are crisp, sweet bundles of flavour.

A new local product in store is Merre Granola, made on farm by Wheatbelt farmers near Merredin. Using Wheatbelt oats & honey, South West nuts, Great Southern olive oil, Kimberley chia seeds and Vasse hemp.

Support your local community and shop local this week. Seasonal produce is key to shopping on a budget, see our friendly staff for tips and find more recipes on our website.
