Julie and Wayne Hams – Geobay Butchering company

Local Busselton butchering company Geobay will be supplying the bulk of the meat for Busselton’s new fresh produce store, Western Growers Fresh.
Geobay Butchering Co source all their meat from WA, predominantly from the South West and Wayne Hams, owner of Geobay says “we support local farmers and butcher WA meat, and that is what the owners of Western Growers Fresh want.  We’re all on the same page when it comes to supplying local quality product. “Julie and I are thrilled to be able to stock the fridges of this exciting new store, which is exactly what Busselton needs.”
Julie added, “They will be open seven days a week, and stocking a large range of varied meats. This will be a real boost for us. We are employing more staff to cater for the increase.”
Western Growers Fresh owner Mick Chitty said that “ Geobay have superb quality meats at great prices. Their meats are excellent and there is no need to bring in meat from the Eastern States when we have some of Australia’s best quality produce right here in the South West”. “We’ve been working together to develop new gourmet lines for our shop with a real focus on ready to cook meats with no preservatives or additives.”
Western Growers Fresh is currently being built on Causeway Road and plans to open in March.

  • Also supplying lamb to WGF are local Manjimup farmers Tammy and Darren Crosby from Green Valley Lamb.
  • Dardanup Butchering Company will supply some lines.
